Pepperneck's Managing Director, Steve Adams, will be joining twelve colleagues from long-standing client Invertek Drives to take part in the Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon to raise funds to help local children.
Hope House Children’s Hospice has secured 50 places in the annual running event, and is delighted that the Invertek team has already snapped up a quarter of the places.
As a seasoned runner Steve is no stranger to long-distance events, but this half-marathon is especially important because of the fund-raising aspect. Steve comments, "I usually take part in organised running events so I have a goal to aim for which helps me to keep fit. Running to help raise funds for this great cause will spur us all on and I'm looking forward to running as part of a team - particularly with people I've worked with for so long."
The half-marathon is taking place on Sunday, September 13th and involves running 13.1 miles around the lake at Llanwyddyn.
Hope House’s group entry is part of its 2015 Challenge Series, which also includes Chester Half, Shrewsbury Half, Chirk Castle Half, North Wales Half, Shrewsbury Triathlon, Farndon 10K and Conwy Half.
Supporters register to take part through the charity and commit to raising a minimum of £100 to help the charity in its work with terminally ill local children. In return they receive a limited edition Hope House running vest, and the charity will be there in force to cheer them on at the event!
Hope House Hospice's Fundraising Manager, Vanessa Thomas, said “Invertek have supported us generously for a number of years and the company really appreciates the importance of the services we provide to terminally ill local children and their families.
“We are truly delighted to have the Invertek team running in our colours at Lake Vyrnwy and we are really looking forward to cheering them on!”
