Involvement Packaging Limited (IPL) is the group behind the UK’s largest rigid packaging containers supplier, Invopak. It tasked Pepperneck with designing and launching an e-commerce website for its B2C retail division, OiPPS after spotting a niche in the market to sell small quantities of its products directly to consumers.
With over 500 product lines covering everything from small tins to great big buckets, the OiPPS website needed to be easy to navigate and simple to use. Products are categorised by group, size and use, giving visitors as many options as possible to find the right packaging for their particular requirements.
All prices are clearly stated and payment is made via secure online merchant, PayPoint. OiPPS went live in October, supported by targeted PR and social media activities and a comprehensive PPC campaign.
IPL’s Commercial Director, Paul Littlehales, says, “We’ve worked with Pepperneck since 2010 so it was the first port of call when we decided to launch our B2C venture. The supporting PR activities raised awareness with key audiences and the PPC campaign is reaping rewards.”
OiPPS’ sales are already well ahead of projected figures and on track to exceed initial expectations in 2013.
Pepperneck’s Technology and Operations Director, Stefan Potter, says, “The intelligent PPC campaign is crucial to OiPPS’ success. We carried out a comprehensive SEO audit to identify the optimum key words and by using the findings effectively, OiPPS is benefitting from online traffic that may not otherwise necessarily have found it.”
